At the heart of San Corrado Di Fuori is the Eremo di San Corrado fuori le Mura, a Baroque sanctuary dating from the 18th century. It was built at the place where Saint Corrado Confalonieri lived. Museum, Caves and Sacred Art

The Museo del Santuario di San Corrado fuori le mura is located in the lower Eremo. The museum displays votive offerings donated by worshippers. The collection includes clothing, anatomical votive offerings, devotional gold and silver objects, paintings, sacred furnishings and models.

The museum also preserves objects that belonged to the venerable hermit Pietro Gazzetti. The Grotta di S. Corrado contains a marble statue of Saint Corrado, created by the sculptor G. Pirrone. The inner cave of the Eremo also contains a 16th-century mural. It depicts the Virgin and Child, Saint John the Baptist and Saint Corrado.

Pilgrimage Tradition and Route Connections

S. Corrado fuori le mura is one of two diocesan sanctuaries whose visit marks the beginning of a pilgrimage route. The Festa di San Corrado includes processions every year on 19 February and on the last Sunday in August. Every ten years, the urn of San Corrado is carried in a solemn procession to the Eremo, the Santuario dedicated to the saint.

In 2025, the Cammino di San Corrado route included an eight-kilometre section from Noto Antica to the Eremo di San Corrado fuori le mura. This section crossed the fords of the Piraino and S. Chiara streams. The Cammino di Corrado leads from the Romitorio dei Pizzoni to the Church of the Crocifisso di Noto Antica.

The Eremo di San Corrado di Fuori is located in the Valle dei Miracoli. You can reach it via the road to the San Corrado Fuori le Mura hamlet along the SS 287. At Contrada Lenza Vacche, a road branches off to the Eremo and the Cava dei Pizzoni. The so-called Parco degli Eremiti is located by the quarry.
