Campodenno is a small village at the foot of the Brenta Dolomites, among the orchards of the lower Val di Non. Here, a striking mountain panorama combines with the rural landscape of the orchards.

Walking paths with views over Val di Non

Lez di Campodenno is a level walking path along the edge of the forest that follows an old irrigation canal. Along the path, there are numerous viewpoints overlooking Val di Non. One section is carved into the rock and secured by a wooden railing. For planning your day, the level route, forest edge, views and distinctive rock section are therefore clearly identifiable features of this path. This creates an alternation between a level route and a secured rock section when planning the walk.

Hiking and mountain biking

The Dolomiti Brenta Bike route offers opportunities for hiking and mountain biking in Campodenno. In addition, the uphill access to Malga d’Arza begins at Campodenno, in front of the ancient hermitage of San Pancrazio. If you would like to vary your active days, hiking, mountain biking and an explicitly uphill access route are available as different options. The access route to Malga d’Arza runs uphill and therefore differs from the level Lez di Campodenno.

Castel Belasi and the landscape

Castel Belasi also combines a historical connection with views of the landscape. Corrado Chuen da Termeno acquired Castel Belasi in 1368. The year 1368 provides a specific historical reference point for Castel Belasi for those interested in culture. The siege chamber in Castel Belasi offers a wide panoramic view over Val di Non.

Pilgrimage route and local tradition

The old church of San Pancrazio is a stop on the Cammino Jacopeo d’Anaunia pilgrimage route. To this day, descendants of the De Oliva family provide food for pilgrims who climb up to the church of San Pancrazio on a feast day. San Pancrazio thus connects the pilgrimage route with a family tradition of providing for pilgrims who make the ascent, which continues to this day.

Frescoes in Segonzone

The Church of Saints Philip and James in Segonzone was completely decorated with frescoes by the brothers Giovanni and Battista Baschenis. The church contains a depiction of the Last Supper executed in the style of the Baschenis, measuring more than four metres in length. For days focused on culture, the frescoes and a large-scale religious subject are therefore central highlights.

Market square history and travel connections

Prà del Marcià was used as a market square until the 18th century. For travel connections, public transport line B620 provides access to Campodenno; it connects Cles with Mezzolombardo.
