Hiking on the San Rocco Path

For hikers, the third stage of the Cammino di San Rocco leads from Valle San Felice to Mori Vecchio. The San Rocco Path, hiking trail F20, is marked with official SAT signs and trail markers, as well as white and red painted markings. The starting point, Valle San Felice, and the destination, Mori Vecchio, give this stage a clear geographical route for planning hiking days. For day planning, the stage can be clearly identified geographically by the name San Rocco Path, the F20 number, and the starting and destination locations.

Nature between Habitats and Cultural Landscape

The Monte Baldo Local Natural Park encompasses diverse natural and near-natural habitats with great floristic and faunal diversity as well as scenic beauty. Plants, animals and different landscape forms are therefore independent nature-related themes alongside the hiking trail.

Buildings with a Varied History

Valle San Felice has rustic and grand buildings from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries, including the Casa dei Mistura. The buildings therefore span the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. The Canonica di Valle San Felice is an 18th-century building that was formerly a residence of the Castelbarco family and was set on fire in 1703 by the troops of General Vendôme during the War of the Spanish Succession; it was subsequently rebuilt.

Molim is an old mill on the rio Gresta that initially belonged to the lords of Gardumo and later to the Castelbarco family. The Chiesa di S. Anna features Gothic architecture and was renovated in 1561. For those interested in culture, the Casa dei Mistura, the Canonica di Valle San Felice, Molim and the Chiesa di S. Anna therefore serve as different historical points of reference in the village.

Traces of the First World War

Military traces of the First World War form another historical layer. The Galeria di San. Vi was excavated in the pine forest of S. Vito and preserves traces of this period. The Barache in the hamlet of Nagià are the ruins of military quarters from the First World War. The two testimonies differ in form: the Galeria was excavated in the pine forest, while the Barache in Nagià are ruins of military quarters. For those interested in culture, the military history of the First World War is therefore an addition to the architectural history.
