Pontassieve also provides access to the approximately 172-kilometre Anello del Rinascimento. The route consists of 16 stages around Florence and can be travelled on foot or by bicycle. Another connection is provided by a hiking trail slightly more than 13 kilometres long, leading from Santa Brigida to Pontassieve. The different trail formats make it clear that short excursions and longer stages can be viewed as distinct travel interests.
