The Museo della Radio is located at Via Roma 75, next to the Cinema Olimpia in Tavarnelle Val di Pesa. Its collection comprises around 270 radio sets from different periods and parts of the world. The Punto Tavarnelle lace tradition emerged in the early years of the 20th century. In Tavarnelle, a dedicated museum displays a significant collection of historic Punto Tavarnelle lacework, including household textiles, wedding dresses, sacred vestments and shoes. The selection shows how diverse this handicraft was in everyday and formal clothing.

Santa Lucia al Borghetto is also one of the finest examples of Franciscan architecture in the Chianti area. The first documented mention of the building dates back to 1278. In addition, the Museo d’arte sacra di San Pietro in Bossolo displays liturgical objects from the 15th to the 19th century and includes two processional crosses datable to the 13th century. The two processional crosses date from an earlier period than the liturgical objects from the 15th to the 19th century displayed in the same museum.

Cycling Route and Historical Connection to the Town

The 40-kilometre “Pedalando nel Chianti, tra pievi e vigneti” cycling route, with 1,116 metres of elevation gain, offers a way to explore the Chianti landscape. It is recommended for gravel or mountain bikes.
