Buchignano: Trails, Cultural Heritage and Landscape on Monte Prana

Buchignano combines a hilly landscape, cultural heritage and a dense network of different trails. On the C9 trail of the Traversata delle Frazioni Camaioresi, olive groves, vineyards, and holm oak and chestnut forests alternate across the hilly hinterland; the trail reaches Buchignano. The village is also located along the Trekking delle Frazioni Camaioresi. This gives you a destination where experiences in nature can be combined with exploring small villages.

Trails between Monte Prana and the villages

Routes for hiking and cycling

An unnumbered trail leads from Buchignano to the village of La Prata. There is also a circular hike from Via Silerchie via Torcigliano, Buchignano and Agliano Peralla back to Via Silerchie. These two routes illustrate different ways of including Buchignano in a day trip: once as the destination of a connection, and once as a stop along a circular route.

In every village crossed by the circular hike via Buchignano and Agliano Peralla, there is an opportunity to refill water; Lucese can be reached via a detour.
