Connection to nature via the Narni-Amelia station

The official access road to Parco Gole del Nera leads through Narni Scalo via Viale della Stazione to Narni-Amelia station.

Narni-Amelia station is located on the western side of Parco Gole del Nera. From there, it is about a 15-minute walk to Ponte di Augusto. Here, the station and the bridge link the park with Roman history.

At the foot of Monte Croce, the Santuario della Madonna del Ponte stands in Narni Scalo beside the remains of Ponte di Augusto. The bridge was built under Augustus around 27 BC.

The Chiesa di Santa Maria della Cerqua also reaches back to an earlier era: construction began in 1597 and was completed in 1615. The tabernacle contains a relief of the Virgin and Child. It is attached to the oak trunk where the image was found.
