Villa Sandi: Wine, Gardens and Historic Interiors

In Crocetta-Nogaré, wine, historic interiors, sacred architecture, the karst landscape of Montello and local festival traditions come together. Villa Sandi organizes guided tours of its underground wine cellars as well as the villa and the surrounding garden. It also offers wine tastings with leading wine experts. The interiors of Villa Sandi include stucco work, bas-reliefs and original Murano glass chandeliers. Those who focus on wine during a tour can view the cellars and tasting separately from the villa, garden and interiors.

Nogarè: Church and Architectural History

In the hamlet of Nogarè, the present-day building of the Chiesa di Sant'Andrea Apostolo has origins in the 17th century. The bell tower was originally a feudal tower; the tower spire that still exists today was built between 1740 and 1760. A neoclassical style can be recognized on the façade and in the interiors. Those who look at the church thus turn their attention both to the tower and to the façade and interiors. The architectural history of Nogarè therefore encompasses several periods: the 17th century shaped the present building, while the tower and spire point to their own earlier and later phases.

Villa Castagna and Historical Evidence

Villa Castagna is also part of Nogarè's historical diversity. It was the residence of the Venetian noble Castagna family, which settled in Nogarè in 1600 and lived there until 1970. The Oratorio di Villa Castagna was built around 1630 beside the former Palazzo Castagna and dedicated to the Purità di Maria and Saint Anthony of Padua. At the Capitello di Via Sant'Andrea, the statue there was created between 1650 and 1699. The Oratorio and Capitello complement the history of the residence with two sacred landmarks at specific locations in Nogarè.

Montello: Karst and Nature Trails

Montello is home to karst sinkholes, caves and springs. Four nature trails are called Itinerario del Bosco della Serenissima, Itinerario dei Bisnent, Itinerario della Certosa and Itinerario dei Croderi. Visitors interested in natural history can consider the karst formations and these four trails as separate focuses in their day planning. The four Itinerari form a distinct natural-history focus, while the sinkholes, caves and springs show the karst landscape of Montello as individual features of the area.

Sagra and Regional Food Culture

The Spontanea Nogaré association organizes a Sagra every year in the hamlet of Crocetta del Montello in the Treviso area. Here, the Italian term Sagra refers to the festival organized annually in this hamlet. At the Sagra di Nogarè, Spiedo is a central dish; it is prepared according to traditional rituals of the area.
