In the same year, the Bishop of Treviso gave the forests, the village and the church of San Vito, as it then existed, to Mogliano Abbey and the Benedictines. The name Pezzan is said to derive from “fundus pettianus”, belonging to the settler Pettius in the 4th or 5th century.

The “Pedalando Istrana” cycling route is 53 kilometres long, runs through fields and hedgerows, and connects the route with Istrana’s historical heritage.
