Set apart in the countryside around Bovolone is the ancient parish baptistery church Pieve di San Giovanni Battista in Campagna, a complex consisting of two clearly distinct churches. Of the original church of the parish, the articulated foundation remains of the main hall have survived; they probably date from the 5th century. The baptistery of the parish, built in the 6th century, is evidenced by its foundations and the remains of an immersion baptismal font. The foundation remains of the original church are probably dated to the 5th century; the baptistery was built in the 6th century.

The oratory of the parish has a dome with a circular ground plan. It is divided by ribs into eight segments and decorated with two superimposed fresco cycles: one depicting the life of John the Baptist and one depicting the Passion of Christ.

Palazzo Vescovile: Renaissance architecture, cloister, loggia, chapel and fresco

Palazzo Vescovile was built in the second half of the 15th century by Bishop Ermolao Barbaro; planning and construction management were carried out by the engineer Michele da Caravaggio and his son Francesco.

It is arranged around a rectangular Renaissance cloister. On the ground floor, 22 red Verona marble columns with foliated capitals stand at the corners. The upper loggia also contains 22 columns; a fountain stands in its centre. The chapel contains the fresco “Natività di Maria” by Francesco Torbido, dating from 1534.
