North of the SR10, an archaeological area lies on the left bank of the paleo-channel of the Tartaro. Excavations carried out in 1995 uncovered the remains of a Bronze Age settlement there. Together with the Via Claudia Augusta and the finds from Olmo and Campalano, the historical perspective therefore extends from the Bronze Age through the Roman era to the churches and villas of later centuries.
