Lovolo: Culture, Landscapes and Berici Climbs

Lovolo is a suitable destination if you want culture, landscapes and sports-related activities to have equal importance in your plans. In the town and its surroundings, a 15th-century villa, a church that already existed in the 16th century, palaces, museums and mountains come together. Added to these are the Berici Climbs outdoor cycling park and two motorsport events from 2026.

Historical Traces and Architecture

The focal point is Villa Ricci Manfredini (Ca' Brusà). It dates from the 15th century and was probably built on behalf of a Venetian noble family. Its present form was created between 1480 and 1495 and preserves features of the earlier construction phase: a superimposed loggia and portico, as well as two projecting side wings. The church of San Michele in Lovolo already existed in the 16th century. Ca' Brusà can be reached via provincial roads; by bicycle, the villa can be reached via the numerous cycling routes in the surrounding area.

The area around Lovolo is home to Villa Montruglio, a palace; Villa Saraceno, a museum; Villa dei Vescovi, a museum; and Villa Emo Capodilista, a palace. The Giardino di Villa Barbarigo a Valsanzibio garden is also located nearby.

Hills, Mountains and the Wider Region

Lovolo lies in the southern area of Berici Climbs, a large outdoor cycling park that also includes the Colli di Albettone and Lovertino. Albettone is located in a hilly area between the Colli Berici and the Colli Euganei. Monte della Madonna, a mountain, is located near Lovolo; Monte Venda, also a mountain, is also in the surrounding area. Further afield in the Lovolo region is the Panorama dal Piazzale della Basilica di Monte Berico viewpoint. These geographically varied landscapes give your planning several scales – from a nearby mountain destination to a more distant regional viewpoint.

Cycling Park and Motorsport

The sporting focus extends beyond cycling. The Crossodromo di Lovolo hosted the fourth round of the 2026 Italian Pro Prestige Femminile Motocross Championship. On 20 and 21 June 2026, the second Collegiale Talenti Nazionali MiniEnduro took place in Lovolo. The MiniEnduro training course included lap-time exercises, race simulations and runs on a motocross track.
