Mure: Trails, Views and Culture

Mure is a district of Colceresa.

Routes by Distance, Surface and Daily Planning

Two circular routes of different lengths are the focus of daily planning. The Percorso del Capriolo is 18 km long and has 800 m of positive elevation gain. The Percorso della Chiocciola starts and ends in Mure on Via Soprachiesa and is 3.7 km long. The route length provides a concrete basis for determining the time frame for each circular route. The 18 km route therefore suggests a different time allocation than the 3.7 km-long Chiocciola.

On the way to the Mure district, the Percorso del Capriolo branches onto the Sentiero della Tisa. This path is paved with characteristic dark stones. On the Percorso della Chiocciola, the surface consists of cobblestones, earth, gravel and asphalt. The surface changes within the circuit. For practical route planning on the Chiocciola, the ground conditions therefore matter in addition to the distance.

Marked Trails with Regional Themes

The Percorso Colceresa comprises marked trails that follow old and new paths. These trails are equipped with information boards about the landscape, natural features and historical characteristics of the area they cross. The boards refer to the area through which the trail runs and combine route orientation with specific local themes.

Landscape and Views around Mure

Monte Alberelli is located in the immediate vicinity of Mure. The Cave di Rubbio and Col d'Astiago are located in the area around Mure. On the section of the Percorso Colceresa along Via Soprachiesa in Mure, the trail offers views of Molvena and, in the distance, of Mason and its hills. In the wider regional surroundings of Mure is the Panorama dal Piazzale della Basilica di Monte Berico viewpoint. For spatial orientation, the views from Via Soprachiesa and the viewpoint near Monte Berico remain assigned to different regional contexts.

Parish Church, Castles and Museum

The parish church in Mure di Colceresa is dedicated to Saint Stephen. The Castello Superiore, Castello Inferiore and the Museo dei Costumi della Partita a Scacchi are located in the immediate vicinity of Mure. Villa Godi is located in the area around Mure. Summer Festival in the Mure District

The Sagra del Carmine is a five-evening summer festival in the Mure district of Colceresa. Over five evenings, the program includes themed evenings, tribute bands, DJ sets and a closing fireworks display. A single evening therefore represents only part of the festival; the closing fireworks take place at the end.
