Villas, Art and Religious Architecture

The Chiesa di San Rocco was built in 1487 by the community of Montecchio Precalcino as a vow against the plague. Its bell tower dates from the following century; there is also an 18th-century altar and polychrome wooden sculptures. The church combines an event from the late 15th century with later features of its furnishings.

Memorial Site and Palladio Villa

The British military cemetery of Montecchio Precalcino preserves the remains of 438 British military personnel and one Indian civilian. It is the largest British war cemetery in the Vicenza area, giving it a distinct historical significance among the cultural attractions.

Villa Forni Cerato, designed by Andrea Palladio, was built around 1570. A reservation in advance is required for a visit; admission is free. You should therefore include the required reservation step when planning this cultural stop, while admission itself remains free of charge.
