Getting around by bicycle or on foot

The two-metre-high bas-relief made of Berici stone stands in front of Montegaldella Town Hall.

S. Michele Arcangelo and the bells

The old parish church of S. Michele Arcangelo in Montegaldella probably dates back to the Lombard period. It is 61.45 metres high and has a peal of 12 bells played by ropes. A group of bell ringers operates and maintains the bells of S. Michele Arcangelo and has been active since 1980. Villas and the old Ghiacciaia

At Villa Ragona in Ghizzole, Girolamo Ragona commissioned Palladio to build a palace at his country residence. The main building of Villa Ragona was constructed between 1553 and 1555. Villa Conti Lampertico Campagnolo is known as La Deliziosa and was built in 1622 by Count Piero Conti and his descendants, although it was never completed. Its garden contains numerous statues of masks from 18th-century Italian theatre, attributed to Orazio Marinali and his workshop. La Deliziosa is privately owned and not open to the public. The La Ghiacciaia complex dates from the first half of the 18th century and was formerly used by the entire community to store food. Today, Ghiacciaia in Arte uses the old Ghiacciaia as a venue for cultural events.
