Near the centre of Vidiciatico, signs point towards Ca’ Gabrielli. This is where CAI Trail 129 begins. The route to Monte Pizzo leads from the meadows of Budiara along a trail to the village of Vidiciatico. Several specific reference points can be used when planning a hike: the village centre, Ca’ Gabrielli, the meadows of Budiara, Monte Pizzo and Vidiciatico.
The mountain landscape can also be explored by bicycle: the Budiara–Monte Pizzo loop above Vidiciatico can be ridden by mountain bike or e-bike. The two activities therefore have different specific reference points: CAI Trail 129 at Ca’ Gabrielli and the Budiara–Monte Pizzo loop above Vidiciatico.
Water, cinema and stage programme
The municipal Conca del Sole swimming pool is a water park surrounded by greenery, with views of the Silla Valley and the surrounding mountains. Facilities include a 30-metre water slide, hydromassage pools, hydrobikes and a baby park. This facility stands as an independent water attraction alongside the trails on Monte Pizzo and excursions in the Upper Apennines.
Cinema Teatro La Pergola screens first-run and second-run films, major cinema classics, independent films and documentaries, as well as auteur animated films. Churches and local history
The Oratorio di San Rocco has a portico supported by local sandstone columns and a bell gable. Inside is a recently uncovered fresco depicting a standing male figure in a niche. The fresco probably dates from the time the building was constructed in 1631. The new Church of San Pietro in Vidiciatico was consecrated on 29 June 1884. The two religious buildings represent different historical reference points: the Oratorio is dated by its construction in 1631, while San Pietro is dated by its consecration on 29 June 1884.
Festivals featuring regional specialities
The Festa del Voto associated with San Rocco takes place every year on 1 August. The Festa del Borgo has been held for more than 20 years. Among other dishes, this festival offers ciacci made from chestnut flour, tigelle with cold cuts and polenta with wild boar.
