Medolla in the Province of Modena combines cycle paths, wooded landscapes and historic landmarks. Between the Ciclabile Ex Sefta, Bosco Martino and the buildings in Camurana and Malcantone, there are different themes to explore on a trip: routes through the surrounding area, medieval traces, the history of churches and villas, as well as regional food culture. The routes extend beyond Medolla, while Bosco Martino and the historic buildings in Camurana and Malcantone are located within the municipality.

Cycle paths between Medolla and the neighboring municipalities
The Ciclabile Ex Sefta connects the three municipalities of Medolla, San Felice sul Panaro and Finale Emilia. A second connection is provided by the Chico Mendes cycle route between Medolla and Mirandola. The Chico Mendes cycle route runs along the former railway line between Mirandola and Modena and was given its name on April 25, 1989. This results in two different geographical connections for route selection: the Ex Sefta connects three municipalities, while Chico Mendes connects Medolla with Mirandola.
Bosco Martino and the adjacent cycle route
Bosco Martino consists of two wooded areas covering a total of approximately 5,000 square meters. The area also borders the Staffette donne Partigiane provincial cycle route (Ex Sefta). The two wooded areas and the adjacent provincial cycle route form a geographically connected landscape and route setting in Medolla.
Torre di Malcantone and the fortified complex
The Torre di Malcantone stands in the Malcantone district. It is one of the best-preserved fortress towers in the entire Province of Modena and bears witness to a significant fortified complex from the 15th century that belonged to the Montecuccoli family. The historic connection therefore encompasses both the preserved fortress tower and the complex to which it belonged.
Chiesa and Pieve di Camurana
The Chiesa di Camurana is considered probably one of the oldest churches in the Bassa Modenese. Its access situation should be taken into account when planning a visit: following severe earthquake damage, it is still not accessible. The Pieve di Camurana was mentioned around the year 776 in the early history of Medolla, when Charlemagne donated it and its associated lands to Nonantola Abbey.
Fiera di Bruino and aristocratic villas
The Millenaria Fiera di Bruino has been held for more than a thousand years; it takes place on the first Sunday in July. Medolla is also home to seventeen historic aristocratic villas.
Salame di San Felice and regional production
Medolla is part of the area in the Province of Modena designated exclusively for the production and packaging of Salame di San Felice. The regional designation expressly covers both the production and the packaging of this product.
