Lago di Posta Fibreno is a clear lake fed by springs and deep groundwater reserves. Its water temperature is around 10 to 11 °C all year round. The lake is home to the endemic Carpione del Fibreno (Salmo fibreni), a fish found only here. The lake therefore combines a specific geographical feature with a natural-history theme: the Carpione del Fibreno is tied to this exact body of water. Trails through reeds, along the shore and past sinkholes
The Puzzillo nature trail runs mostly along a wooden walkway through the reeds and is accessible to families with strollers.
