Pulcherini between Local History and Olive Culture

Pulcherini can be explored through two different approaches: historical and religious connections, as well as an event program featuring outdoor activities and a focus on the local area. This range is particularly evident in the three-day program of “I Borghi del Gusto,” which was scheduled to take place between November 7 and 9, 2025. For an individual trip to Italy, it is therefore clear from the outset that culture, activity and local themes stand side by side.

Activities among the Olive Trees

The event program included “A cavallo tra gli ulivi,” a horseback activity among the olive trees. Mountain bike excursions and a tour of the town were also announced. The Italian name explicitly highlights the connection with the olive trees, while mountain biking adds another active perspective. The planned town tour was intended to direct attention to Pulcherini itself and give the program an immediate local dimension in addition to physical activity.

Olive Mills and Masseria Zenobio

The culinary side of the program was linked to specific locations. The event was to include a visit to an old olive mill dating from 1690; visits to olive mills and Masseria Zenobio were also announced. Several planned stops thus focused on olive processing and on places that were specifically to be visited as part of the program. In this way, the connection with olives was meant to be tangible not only as a landscape feature but also through specific program items.

San Giuseppe and Its Construction Phases

San Giuseppe takes us into another historical period. The church dates from the 18th century and was consecrated in 1726. The presbytery and the side aisle were added toward the end of the 19th century. This sequence is particularly interesting for visitors who wish to view sacred architecture in terms of its development over time.

Another Religious Connection

The sacred depiction of the Passion of Christ is also one of Pulcherini’s religious connections. It was announced as the 53rd edition.
