Marina di Cerveteri combines Campo di Mare beach and the Lungomare dei Navigatori Etruschi with nature observation at Stagno della Stallonara, as well as the Cerveteri Carnival and the Parrocchia San Francesco d'Assisi.

Campo di Mare: Beach and Accessible Facilities

An important point of reference is Campo di Mare. Liberamente is a free beach area set up and equipped by the Municipality of Cerveteri on the public beach for people with motor disabilities and their companions. The area has Job beach wheelchairs, special loungers, accessible showers and changing rooms, as well as trained staff to provide care and assistance. For this access, admission was free for citizens and tourists regardless of their place of residence; reservations were required. The bathing waters at Campo di Mare were classified as excellent by the Regione Lazio based on monitoring carried out by ARPA Lazio.

Walks, Water and Nature Observation

The Lungomare dei Navigatori Etruschi in Campo di Mare stretches for approximately 2 kilometres and is suitable for walking, jogging and cycling.

A visitor programme on the Lungomare dei Navigatori e degli Etruschi in Cerveteri provided access to the Monumento Naturale Palude di Torre Flavia. The programme also included guided tours of the Duna del Giglio di mare. The Sentiero dell’Aula VerdeBlu was used for birdwatching at Stagno della Stallonara.

The water sports area in Campo di Mare is considered an alternative and sustainable tourism option. Water activities using SUP boards were offered there. A planned cycle and pedestrian route in Marina di Cerveteri is intended to connect the railway station with the church, the market and the main commercial area of the district.

Culture in Marina di Cerveteri

The 2025 Cerveteri Carnival programme included parades, music, performances, and traditional and modern games. Events were scheduled for 22 and 23 February 2025 at Piazza del Mercato in Marina di Cerveteri.

An architectural point of reference is the Parrocchia San Francesco d'Assisi. It has a semi-elliptical shape and a façade consisting entirely of opening glass panels, located on both sides of a large iron gate. The Parrocchia also contains statues of Saint Francis and the Madonna, works by the sculptor Giuseppe Stuflesser.

The planned new approaches to dealing with washed-up Posidonia seagrass, known as the Banquette, form part of the coast's ecological profile. At the ecological beaches of Lazio, such approaches were intended to promote the circular economy and environmental awareness. An ecological beach project by ISPRA was scheduled to test new methods on 27 and 28 June at the beaches of Marina di Cerveteri.
