The Duomo di Loano in the historic centre was built by the Doria between 1633 and 1638. Medieval Town Centre and Views

The walled medieval town centre at the foot of Loano Castle was built in the 16th and 17th centuries on the remains of an earlier fortification and was constructed at the behest of the Doria. Santuario dei Santi Cosma e Damiano is located on Poggio di San Damiano. The original church was built around 1070 and is surrounded by a panoramic area with olive trees. Marina di Loano is a yacht harbour in Liguria, in the heart of the Riviera di Ponente, near Monaco and Portofino. It can accommodate yachts up to 85 metres long. For travel by train, Loano railway station is located in the town centre. It is on the Genoa–Ventimiglia railway line.
