Temù amid Adamello scenery and culture

Temù is surrounded by meadows, coniferous forests and the imposing snow-covered peaks of the Adamello range. This alpine setting combines churches, a museum and historic traces along the Oglio. History and Art in Temù

The Museo della Guerra Bianca in Adamello focuses on the White War, which was fought on the high-mountain front. Several hundred artefacts recovered at high altitudes are explained through historical texts and images. The permanent exhibition of the Museo della Guerra Bianca in Temù is accessible during the scheduled regular opening hours; special openings are particularly possible for organised groups and school classes by prior arrangement.

The Chiesa Parrocchiale di San Bartolomeo is a 17th-century building that was extensively remodelled in the 18th and 19th centuries. It houses a collection of wooden artworks, including the main altar by Giovan Battista Zotti and the Rosary altar from the Ramus workshop. According to local legend, the Chiesa di Sant'Alessandro was founded by Charlemagne. The building of the former hydroelectric power station was constructed after the First World War; the building work lasted from 1921 to 1927. The building in Località Centrale, about 1 km from Temù and located on the Oglio River, is considered evidence of industrial archaeology.

High-Altitude Destinations and Routes into Val d’Avio

The Chiesetta di Santa Giulia stands at an altitude of 1,860 m above Mezzullo, on the edge of a larch forest. From the Temù cable-car car park, you can reach it either by cable car to Roccolo Ventura or on foot via the Mezzullo–Roccolo Ventura gravel road. From Temù, you can reach Val d’Avio via a roughly 5 km-long route accessible by car as far as Malga Caldea at 1,508 m. After the complete descent through Valle dell’Avio, stage SI D29S of the Sentiero Italia crosses the Oglio River and climbs up to the centre of Temù. In Località Predazzo, on the road to Val d’Avio, there is a car park with around 10 spaces and a fountain.

Winter Sports and Summer Activities

In winter, Temù has a ski area with 4 chairlifts and 8 runs of varying difficulty, connected to the rest of the ski area. The Roccolo Ventura chairlift also operates in summer and is equipped with hooks for transporting mountain bikes uphill. The Pontedilegno-Tonale Bike Park extends across Passo Tonale, Ponte di Legno and Temù and includes 6 trails.

At the Palaghiaccio in Temù, you can go ice skating from October to April. It offers courses led by FISG instructors for beginners as well as for skaters starting out in competitive sport.
