Funtana Meiga: Beach, Coastal Paths and Special Access Points

In Funtana Meiga, three of the four planned beach access points have been opened. The newly opened access points channel and organize access in a way that prevents uncontrolled spontaneous traffic along the cliff edge and protects the cliff. One of these beach access points includes a ramp that can also be used with a wheelchair or stroller. It is equipped with a Job wheelchair and a beach platform with a sun umbrella. In addition, the designated dog-friendly beach areas are each at least 1,500 square meters in size. These different facilities make the specific beach planning just as relevant to you as the landscape itself.

Cycling, Diving and Supervised Swimming

A cycling tour begins at Funtana Meiga beach and follows the coast to Capo Mannu. For active days by the water, diving excursions in search of an underwater healing spring can also be undertaken near Funtana Meiga. In the stretch of sea opposite, animals are allowed to swim under strict supervision.

A Coastal Tower in the Wider Area

In the wider area around Funtana Meiga, the Torre del Sevo (Turr’e Seu) is one of the Spanish coastal towers built along the coast of the Sinis of Cabras between the 16th and 17th centuries.
