Archaeological sites amid wide-open landscapes
The Complesso di Iloi comprises a nuraghe, a village and two Giants’ tombs. It stands on a volcanic plateau overlooking the northwestern shore of Lake Omodeo. The nuraghe of the Complesso di Iloi can be reached after around 15 minutes on foot along the access path. Here, you can experience a tangible archaeological complex set within a broad, open highland landscape and reached by a manageable walking route. This makes the site particularly interesting if you want to view historical evidence in relation to its surrounding landscape rather than in isolation.

The Necropoli di Ispiluncas
The Necropoli di Ispiluncas comprises 33 tombs carved into the tuff, arranged in two groups around 200 metres apart. The necropolis can be reached via a paved path that begins at the forecourt of the nearby Iloi archaeological area. Tombs 2 and 3 could be visited inside. If you are interested in funerary architecture and spatial relationships, the site offers several clearly distinguishable aspects: the number of tombs, their division into two groups and the paved access route. This allows the visit to be experienced both through the individual monuments and through the structure of the site as a whole.
Santu Antine: church and sanctuary
The Church of Santu Antine dates from the mid-16th century and displays features of Catalan Gothic architecture. The Santu Antine sanctuary complex includes long arcades for pilgrims and merchants. The Santu Antine sanctuary is located on a plateau above the northern shore of Lake Omodeo. Sedilo has paths and routes for hiking, cycling and horse riding. At the level of Sedilo, the island’s longest river widens into Lake Omodeo, an artificial body of water.
