The Church of San Pietro Apostolo was built in the 17th century. Its single-nave layout, side chapels, transept and spacious chancel shape the sacred character of the building. Another church is Santa Maria Maddalena on the outskirts of Silì. It was first mentioned in the will of Ugone II in 1335. The two churches therefore represent different historical points of reference within the town.
