San Pietro: Church and Archaeology
Near the town center, on a hill overlooking Ardara, stands the rural church of San Pietro. The present building dates from the early 15th century and is Romanesque. At the same time, the church is said to have been built on the ruins of an ancient early Christian temple; its original apse with a small single-light window has been preserved. Recent archaeological excavations on the San Pietro plateau uncovered the remains of a Roman settlement and numerous finds from that period.
The Museo Giudicale
The Museo Giudicale has sections devoted to Roman and medieval antiquities. It also preserves an extensive collection of finds, established in 2010. Roman and medieval antiquities are represented in separate sections of the museum. The view therefore extends from the buildings in the town to material evidence from different eras.

Ardara's history also includes the Feast of Our Lady of the Kingdom. It has been celebrated in Ardara year after year for almost a century.
