Bellamonte between valleys and mountain ranges

Bellamonte is located on a slightly elevated high plateau along the Travignolo Valley. The Lagorai range surrounds the village, while the view extends towards the Pale di San Martino. The landscape includes meadows, larch forests and waterways around the Travignolo Valley, the Bosco dei Dossi forest and the Sottosassa gorge. This combination of open terrain, forest and waterways defines the natural points of reference for your stay.

Trails between Morea and the mid-station

The Sentiero Naturalistico begins in Morea and follows a forest road towards Malga Bocche. It runs along an unpaved forest road and is also suitable for trekking strollers and mountain bikes. The starting point in Località Morea can be reached by the Bellamonte 3.0 gondola lift. The Sentiero Tematico di Frainus also runs through the Bellamonte forest around the mid-station of the Bellamonte 3.0 gondola lift. When planning your day, you can therefore take the starting point, surface and landscape setting of each trail into account.

Family Park and themed forest trail

The Giro d'Ali Family Park is located at the mid-station of the Bellamonte 3.0 gondola lift in Località Le Fassane. It combines water play areas, sensory trails, dynamic attractions and relaxation areas. The Sentiero Tematico di Frainus can be accessed via the Giro d'Ali and is visited with the Family Park admission ticket. This allows you to choose between dynamic attractions and relaxation areas during your visit to the park.

Alpe Lusia in winter

The Alpe Lusia ski area extends between Val di Fassa and Val di Fiemme and includes the Bellamonte and Moena areas. It offers 30 km of groomed slopes. On the Bellamonte side, there are wide, sunny blue slopes with views of the Pale di San Martino and the Lagorai range. When choosing a winter sports day, you can consider the slope colour, slope width and landscape views together.

Architecture and local history

The Chiesa Santa Maria della Neve was built in 1707. It acquired its present appearance through an extension and the redesign of the interiors in 1880. Bellamonte preserves several examples of rural architecture made from spruce trunks, with masonry stables and raised haylofts that recall the long tradition of haymaking. The Tabià and old hay barns were formerly used as stables and haylofts and stand in the meadows around the village and along some roads within the village. Bellamonte is therefore characterised both by its church and by traditional agricultural buildings.

Event at Passo Lusia

The “Spettacolo di Falconeria” event at Passo Lusia combines flight demonstrations, explanations and a direct encounter with birds of prey. It also includes a guided walk from Morea to Passo Lusia, which is suitable for strollers. If you would like to combine nature observation and physical activity, the demonstration and walk form part of one shared event experience.

Getting there from Predazzo

From Predazzo, you can reach Bellamonte by car in the direction of Passo Rolle in about 10 minutes. This means that both the driving direction and the approximate duration are clearly defined for planning your journey.

Other places for orientation

If you would like to consider other places in addition to Bellamonte, here you will find Tres, Vigo Di Fassa, Bezzecca, Malosco, Concei, Terzolas, Mezzana and Denno.
