Auronzo di Cadore: Marmarole, Cycle Path and Lago di Auronzo
The Marmarole massif gives Auronzo di Cadore a distinctive connection to the mountains. Trekking and summer hikes can begin directly from the town of Auronzo or its immediate surroundings. The Monte Agudo ski area in Auronzo has just under 20 kilometres of slopes and two chairlifts. The upper part of Monte Agudo, an offshoot of the Marmarole, reaches 1,585 metres and offers a view of Auronzo's town centre and the Tre Cime di Lavaredo.
Distinctive starting points and routes
The Fun Bob track begins next to the mountain station of the Taiarezze-Malon chairlift at 1,361 metres above sea level. A second way to experience the landscape is the Auronzo-Misurina cycle and pedestrian path: it is 30 kilometres long, connects Lago di Santa Caterina in Auronzo with Lago di Misurina, is completely unpaved and has no road crossings. The approximately 15-kilometre section from Auronzo to Palùs San Marco is also suitable for families.
Event finishing in Auronzo
The “Camignada poi siè refuge” is a traditional, non-competitive mountain run covering 30 kilometres and takes place on the first Sunday in August. The route leads from Misurina via Rifugio Auronzo, Rifugio Lavaredo, Rifugio Locatelli, Rifugio Piani di Cengia, Val di Cengia and Val Marzon, as well as along the cycle path to the finish in Auronzo di Cadore.
Families and views
The Tre Cime Adventure Park comprises six courses at different heights for visitors of all ages. One adventure course is intended for children aged 3 to 5; there are five additional courses, the most demanding of which reaches a height of 14 metres. There is also a viewing platform 20 metres above the ground, offering views of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo and the Dolomites.
Lake and town centre
At Lago di Auronzo, you can explore the lake by kayak, rowing boat and pedal boat. In Auronzo's town centre, historic buildings made of light-coloured stone stand beside the lake; an easy circular path leads around them. This places a water-based experience and a short culture-oriented walk alongside each other as different ideas for a day out. The combination of the lake, historic buildings and circular path appeals to different interests.

For practical information, the IAT Auronzo provides tourist information and advice on hikes and activities. Fishing permits are also issued there, and information about events is provided. This support is helpful when planning days that vary.
