Quinto Di Treviso: Nature on the Sile, Routes and Historic Sites

Quinto Di Treviso combines the Sile river landscape with nature observation, historic buildings and routes for different travel interests. The Oasi di Cervara is a biotope of high conservation value and is classified as a Site of Community Importance (S.I.C.). It provides refuge for wildlife and helps preserve the Sile's wild flora. The “GiraSile: Per Borghi e Campagne intorno all'Oasi di Cervara” route focuses on the former Palù di Cervara, now known as “Oasi Cervara”. Amid spring outflows, storks and owls, its focus is on the water landscape and wildlife.

The “Ex Ferrovia Ostiglia” route complements this landscape theme with a different type of surface: it runs along paved roads or well-maintained unpaved paths. For this route, car parks opposite Quinto's town hall or on Via Baracca are designated as parking locations. The different surfaces provide a clear indication when considering the route according to your preferred means of transport.

Art and history

The Chiesa di Santa Cristina combines architectural history and art. It was rebuilt around 1930 in hybrid Romanesque-Gothic forms. Inside the church, you can admire the altarpiece “Madonna and Child with Saints and the Dead Christ” by Lorenzo Lotto, dating from 1504–1505.

Villa Ciardi is one of the area's most significant architectural buildings. It was opened to the public only on the occasion of special events promoted by the Municipality of Quinto di Treviso and the Pro Loco. Mulino Cervara is documented as early as 1325.

The oldest document mentioning Villa Memo Giordani is a Venetian register for the tax assessment of properties from 1682. It lists Nobil Homo Costantino Memmo as the owner.

In the area around Quinto di Treviso are the Museo Zoologico Scarpa, a museum, the Palazzo dei Trecento, a palace, and Walls, a historic site.
