Gizzeria Lido is the seaside district of the municipality of Gizzeria on the Gulf of Sant’Eufemia and a kitesurfing destination. Below the Istmo del Faro stretches Spiaggia del Turrazzo. The Riviera dei Tramonti is characterized by microclimatic conditions with strong winds and deep waters in all seasons. This gives you a coastal setting in which the beach, open sea location and water sports are closely associated with the name Gizzeria Lido.

Viewpoints above the Tyrrhenian Coast

The landscape can also be explored through prominent viewpoints. The hill with the Torre di Capo Suvero is a viewpoint in Gizzeria. The Istmo del Faro is also a viewpoint in Gizzeria. In addition, Gizzeria is a viewpoint for sunsets over the Tyrrhenian coast of Lamezia. These three references provide different landscape themes for planning your day: hilltop, isthmus and views of the coast at sunset.

Lago La Vota Natural Area

The Lago La Vota area is a Special Protection Area with a land area of 297.00 ha in the municipality of Gizzeria. Thus, alongside the coast and water sports, a clearly defined natural area is also part of the character of the place. Sacred Art and Arbëreshë Culture

The Museo parrocchiale di arte sacra e contadina di Gizzeria consists of two departments dedicated to sacred art and rural culture. The Chiesa di San Giovanni Battista di Gizzeria houses a papier-mâché statue of Saint John the Baptist commissioned in 1835. Gizzeria is also an ancient center of Arbëreshë culture; in the Italo-Albanian language, its name is Jacari. Sacred art, rural culture and the Italo-Albanian tradition thus add their own accents alongside the coast.
