Landscape between Agricultural Areas and Nature

Tre Colli combines a predominantly rural landscape with clear natural and conservation features. Parts of the area fall within the “Paesaggio agrario di rilevante valore” and “Paesaggio naturale” landscape categories of Lazio’s landscape plan. The two Italian designations refer to an agricultural landscape of significant value and to natural landscape areas. Tre Colli also includes forest areas that are legally protected under Article 142(1)(g) of the Italian Cultural Heritage Code.

Tre Colli-Colli del Sole is one of the 21 landscape areas in the Campagna Romana. Between 100 and 200 athletes in the FCI Esordienti and Allievi categories took part. An amateur cycling association based at the Consorzio Tre Colli also participated in the Ciclopellegrinaggio al Divino Amore.

Several other event connections lead to Aprilia. In the Trofeo Ferrera Mat Tre Colli, around 60 Allievi riders completed five laps of a circuit in Casalazzara, Aprilia. The third edition of the Trofeo took place in Aprilia on June 2. Also in Aprilia, Ferrera Mat Tre Colli organized the 1° Trofeo Bakery House Tre Colli as the season opener for the Esordienti and Allievi categories.

The combination of club activities, youth events and amateur participation makes cycling a clearly identifiable theme for visitors who want to include regional sports culture in their travel considerations. At the same time, the venues are not all in the same place: Tre Colli, Casalazzara and Aprilia should each be considered in their own geographical context.

The second edition of the youth cycling event II Trofeo Tre Colli was also announced for the Carano area of Aprilia, on a circuit to be completed several times. For your travel planning, this date should therefore be classified as an announced event.

In the rural area of Casalazzara, the outlines of the Castelli Romani can be seen on the horizon.
