Brumano at the Foot of Resegone

Brumano lies at an elevation of 913 m, surrounded by greenery at the foot of Resegone, and preserves its original character. Its mountain setting gives your trip planning a clear landscape framework. At the same time, Brumano brings together trails, the Chiesa di San Bartolomeo, and outdoor art, offering different ways to shape your stay.

Hiking Trails with Different Starting Points

Several trails begin at different points. The Sentiero SLB01 starts at the parish church of Brumano and follows CAI trail no. 576 toward Rifugio Resegone. Also starting from the Chiesa di San Bartolomeo in Brumano, the Itinerario Trekking da Brumano al Rifugio Resegone leads to Rifugio Resegone in Brumano. Both trail names refer to the mountain destination, but each represents its own described route.

From the point at an elevation of 1,440 m, Sentiero 587 reaches Rifugio Azzoni in about half an hour. Sentiero SLB01 also connects with the trail to Rifugio Azzoni; from there, the summit of Resegone can be reached by climbing. Sentiero 578 starts at a parking area beside the road between Brumano and Fuipiano. There is also a parking area at the Chiesa di San Bartolomeo. When planning, you can therefore distinguish between a starting point in the village, a higher point, and a trailhead along the road.

Church, Forest and Sculptures

The Chiesa di San Bartolomeo parish church, dating from the late 19th century, preserves an altar from the Fantoni school. It therefore offers a specific cultural point of reference within the village's history, without requiring you to limit yourself to the mountain trails. On the Itinerario delle figure di pietra a Brumano, the forests of Brumano form an integral part of the setting for Carlo Vitari's stone sculptures.

The sculptures on the Itinerario delle figure di pietra a Brumano are outdoors and visible at all times. This makes the trail particularly interesting if you want to combine landscape and art: the forest is not merely a backdrop, but part of the setting surrounding the stone works. Together with the church, it creates a cultural focus that is clearly distinct from the trails to the Rifugi.

The area around Brumano also includes Castello Dell'Innominato and the Palazzotto di Don Rodrigo palace. Both destinations broaden the cultural context around the village, while Brumano itself remains connected to its location at the foot of Resegone and the trails that begin there.
