Historic paths with a distinctive route

The ancient Via del Bitto runs just below Pedesina. Its route includes a unique section with steps carved into the bare rock. The historic excursion itinerary of the Cadorna Line is also interesting for understanding the history of the local paths: it begins on Pedesina's municipal road towards Masoncelli at an elevation of 1,125 metres and ends at Monte Rotondo at an elevation of 2,496 metres.

The Cadorna Line route passes by the Casera di Combana. A monumental, centuries-old larch stands nearby. The route to Monte Rotondo also follows an old mule track. It once directly connected the Masoncelli of Pedesina with Alpe Combana.

The defensive structures of the Cadorna Line in the Val di Pai area include those at Bocchetta di Stavello, at elevations of 2,202 to 2,290 metres, as well as those on Monte Rotondo at 2,496 metres. The present-day Church of Santa Croce e Sant'Antonio in Pedesina appears to date from the 16th century. In the 15th century, the Church of Sant'Antonio in Pedesina began to have its own benefice and its own curate. Pedesina is also home to a painting of the Last Supper from 1649 by the local painter Antonio Tarabini. The textile history of Pedesina and Rasura

In the past, Pedesina and Rasura were known throughout the province for weaving the traditional Pezzotto carpet on looms. Local people processed hemp and flax into high-quality textiles and handmade products.
