River Landscape, Mountains and the Sentiero E1
Near Tranquillo, the Burano River runs upstream of Cantiano. A measuring station is located on this river in the locality, also upstream of Cantiano, 16.5 km from the source and at 380 m above sea level. The location of the measuring station connects the watercourse with a specific point within Tranquillo.
Monte Petria is a mountain in the immediate vicinity of Tranquillo. Monte Orneti is a peak in the immediate vicinity of Tranquillo. Monte Aguzzo is a mountain in the surrounding area, and Monte Forcello is a peak in the surrounding area. The four elevations complement the landscape with different topographical forms.
Tranquillo is associated as a place name with the protected landscape area of the Monte Catria massif. The Sentiero E1 passes through the M. Picognola wildlife reserve. Fallow deer, partridges and hazel grouse are found there. Along this section, the trail route and the animal population are therefore located in the same natural area.
Cultural Attractions in the Surrounding Area
