Suni reveals its cultural character particularly through its nuraghi. Nuraghe Nuraddeo is a complex nuraghe site: a keep is surrounded by a bastion of three towers, which are connected by straight curtain walls. The keep is approximately 16 metres high. Its upper rows of stone display an unusual vertical pattern, regarded throughout Sardinia as a unique example. This makes the structure itself the main focus for you.
The Chirisconis necropolis also takes you far back into the past. It dates from the Late Neolithic, approximately from 3200 to 2800 BC, and comprises twelve single- and multi-chamber burial chambers. Traces of red wall paintings have been preserved inside the burial chambers. The Domus de Janas of Chirisconis is carved into a tuff outcrop in the Badu ‘e Crabolu district and overlooks the valley of the Riu Mannu.
