Balata di Modica combines natural landscapes, regional road routes and cultural sites into a diverse regional travel setting. From there, this boundary runs towards the Irminio River. After leaving the Ragusana state road, the boundary of the “Monti Iblei” landscape follows the Cava Volpe.

Individual landscape features in the surrounding area also add their own distinctive character: Monte Scannalupi is a peak near Balata di Modica. Road routes between Ragusa and Noto

Near Balata di Modica, the boundary of the “Monti Iblei” landscape follows the SP 58 “Ragusa-Noto” provincial road. After crossing the Irminio River, it briefly follows the Ragusana state road. At Contrada Santa Rosalia, the landscape boundary leaves the Ragusana state road again. This sequence connects the landscape area with specific road and terrain points that can be taken into account when planning your route.

Another regional reference point is Route 354. It runs between Noto and Ragusa via Gisira, San Giacomo and Balata di Modica. For planning your own route, Noto and Ragusa form the endpoints; Gisira, San Giacomo and Balata di Modica lie between them along Route 354 and complement the connection between the two cities.
