Vöran between the Path of Reflection, Nature and Panoramic Views
Vöran reveals its special character where mindful paths, sacred places and alpine landscapes come together.
The Family Path of Reflection: Walking with space for contemplation
The Family Path of Reflection is a spiritual hiking trail with nine stations for reflecting on life, faith and family.
The reflection points designed and created by Oswald Kröss encourage mindful walking, silence, contemplation and prayer. This gives the hike a clear spiritual focus that sets it apart from an ordinary trail.
The trail begins at the end of the crafts zone in Vöran/Aschl, leads through forests and meadows, and ends at the Church of St. Anne in Aschl.
The Family Path of Reflection is barrier-free and well signposted. It is also open and accessible year-round, meaning that its route is not tied to a single season. For travel planning, the Family Path of Reflection can therefore also be considered independently of any particular season.
Hiking destinations and panoramic views around Vöran
Beimsteinknott is one of the destinations that can be reached on foot via a hiking trail. From the Knottnkino, the view extends across the entire Adige Valley to Texel Group Nature Park, Penegal and Weißhorn. The panorama thus stretches far beyond Vöran’s immediate surroundings.
Another route connects Mölten and Vöran via Wargerhof. The Mölten–Wargerhof–Vöran hiking route leads from Mölten along hiking trail no. 13, past Wargerhof and the Bacher farm tavern to the small village of Vöran. Starting in Mölten, the route initially follows hiking trail no. 13, before continuing past Wargerhof and the Bacher farm tavern. This sequence identifies the route’s key stops and makes orientation along the trail easier.
In Vöran itself, the Parish Church of St. Nicholas adds a sacred site to the themes of the trail and landscape. It is one of the oldest churches on the Tschögglberg.
Bruggen Pond and family-friendly trails
The small Bruggen Pond lies below Leadner Alm in Vöran. In summer, it provides an ideal habitat for small fish, frogs, toads and dragonflies. At this destination, the landscape can therefore also be experienced through its small aquatic habitats.
From the “Sportplatz Vöran” bus stop, you can reach Bruggen Pond via trail no. 16 in about 35 minutes. The “To Bruggen Pond” hike is easy, family-friendly and in some sections even suitable for prams. Its short, clearly described access route makes the pond an independent hiking destination during a stay in Vöran. For day planning, allow around 35 minutes of walking time from the “Sportplatz Vöran” bus stop. In some sections, the route to the pond can also be walked with a pram.
