Churches and Historic Surroundings

Tozzaga is home to the Chiesa della Madonna del Carmelo. Also associated with the village is the Chiesa della Madonna del Carmine di Tozzaga, which was probably built at the beginning of the 17th century.

Castello di Cles is a castle in the area around Tozzaga. In the wider regional area are Castel Thun and Castello Boymont, both castles, as well as Castel Sporo Rovina, a ruin. Anyone wishing to follow the history of the buildings beyond the village can consider not only Castello di Cles, but also the two castles and the ruin in the wider regional area.

Commemoration at the Sports Field

The thirteenth edition of a tournament commemorating four young men who had died 13 years earlier took place at Tozzaga’s sports field.

Mountains and Trails Around Tozzaga

Cima Vese is a summit in the immediate area around Tozzaga. Monte Pin, Cima delle Mandrie and Monte Ozol are mountains in the area around the village. For planning the landscape section of Val di Sole, these four destinations can be saved as separate mountain destinations.

A specific connection to Tozzaga is provided by the 35-kilometre cycling and walking trail in Val di Sole. It runs along the Noce River and passes through Tozzaga. On the Mostizzolo–Bozzana cycle path, the route reaches Ponte Stori; from there, Bozzana, Tozzaga and Bordiana can be seen from above. For planning your own stages, the total length provides an important framework, while the route along the Noce gives the trail a direct connection to Tozzaga. The route is designated for cycling and walking; therefore, the length of an individual stage may vary depending on the means of travel. The second route offers a different perspective: from Ponte Stori, several villages can be viewed from an elevated vantage point.

Cammino del gusto: Tozzaga and Bozzana

On the second day of the Cammino del gusto in Val di Sole, an optional detour to Tozzaga to Azienda Agricola Pedergnana Ettore is planned. There, farm-produced cured meats can be tasted. When planning the Cammino del gusto, the detour to Azienda Agricola Pedergnana Ettore can deliberately be planned separately from the further route along “la Lec” to Bozzana, allowing you to structure your day according to your preferences. The Cammino del gusto continues along the old irrigation canal “la Lec” to Bozzana, a place with trenches. The second day therefore leads not only to Tozzaga, but continues along the old canal to Bozzana.

Further Destinations
