Siror between Local History and Mountain Landscapes

Siror appeals to visitors who want to get to know a place through its tangible traces, buildings and paths. The historic centre features large polygonal stone fountains, while folk frescoes decorate the façades of the houses. These motifs give Siror a distinctly cultural and historical character that can be combined with nature and active pursuits during a stay.

Historic Motifs in the Centre

Several buildings offer deeper insight into the history of the village. The Museo della Scuola is housed in a former primary school building in Siror. The Tabià di Siror is a centuries-old barn in the centre. The parish church of Sant’Andrea was built in the 14th century and rebuilt in 1720. The old municipal seat preserves 16th-century frescoes. Advance reservations are required to visit the Museo della Scuola.

The Sentiero delle Leggende is also known locally as “El trói dele S-Cione”. The permanent exhibition consists of wooden reliefs inspired by the legends of the Primiero Valley. Those who enjoy connecting historical and artistic themes directly with the village landscape will find a variety of ways to experience Siror: frescoes on house façades, old buildings and an exhibition rooted in regional storytelling.

These two events add different accents to the year: the Christmas market is tied to the Advent season, while the procession follows a set route through several villages.
