Treponti between motor racing history and the Euganean Hills

Motor racing history reaches back into the past here just as the routes around Teolo extend into today’s travel planning. The picture is rounded out by museums, palaces, mountains, a park and a regional viewpoint.

Historic motor racing tradition

The Treponti-Castelnuovo race was promoted by the Automobile Club di Padova and took place from 1927 to 1960. It was one of the historic motor racing events in the province of Padova. In 1947, the race was initially organised as the Treponti-Teolo and was later renamed Treponti-Castelnuovo. This reveals a historic trail of names and events connecting Treponti with the motor racing history of the province of Padova.

Museums and historic destinations in the surrounding area

Villa dei Vescovi, a museum, is located in the immediate vicinity of Treponti. Villa Emo Capodilista, a palace, is also nearby. Other museums in the surrounding area include the Museo Civico - Villa Comunale Roberto Bassi Rathgeb and ARTissima Galleria d'Arte Contemporanea.

Cycling and hiking trails around Teolo

The area offers several routes for cycling tours. After passing Treponti di Teolo, you can reach the Abbazia di Praglia on the Anello Colli Euganei E2 cycle path. The Altavia n. 1 dei Colli Euganei trail begins near Treponti di Teolo. For route planning, the 23.5 kilometres and 400 metres of elevation gain of the circuit are the key figures. The numerous hairpin bends are on the climb from Costigliola, so this section can be planned separately within the overall circuit. The E2 leads to a specific destination, whereas the Salita al Monte Grande runs as a circuit with a climb and return to Treponti. The climb to Monte Grande is the highlight of a challenging 23.5-kilometre circuit with 400 metres of elevation gain in the hills of Teolo, south of Treponti. On the circuit to the Salita al Monte Grande, the route first leads from Treponti to Costigliola. This is where the climb with numerous hairpin bends begins, while remaining easily manageable by bike. The final descent of the Salita al Monte Grande leads back to Treponti. The different route lengths and courses help you organise your planning according to your preferred scale and level of difficulty.

Mountains, park and regional viewpoint

The landscape also displays various facets. Monte della Madonna is a mountain in the immediate vicinity of Treponti, while Monte Venda is a mountain in the surrounding area. Parco San Daniele is a park near Treponti. The wider regional area also includes Panorama dal Piazzale della Basilica di Monte Berico, a viewpoint.
