Tribano between Tower, Landscape and Local History
Tribano combines distinctive buildings with an open landscape perspective. At the centre is the Torre Civica of Tribano: The tower is 27 metres high and also serves as a medieval vantage point over the agricultural landscape between the Euganean Hills and the Adige. This gives you a direct view of a place whose architectural history and regional surroundings are closely connected.
Buildings from Different Periods
Palazzo Brazolo is a country house built in the 16th and 17th centuries for a noble family from Padua. Today, the building houses Tribano Town Hall. The parish church of Tribano provides another architectural highlight: It is an imposing 18th-century building whose façade is decorated with sculptures by G. Bonazza.
The history of the Torre Civica also extends beyond its visible height. It is the only surviving one of three towers and the only surviving part of the castle built by the Este family. If you are interested in medieval architectural history and the traces of former centres of power, this sole surviving structural element is particularly informative, without requiring any other surviving parts of the castle.
Routes and Events in Tribano
The Via Romea Germanica passes through Tribano. This connection with the town may be of interest to you if routes and incorporating a stay into a larger travel plan play a role. The events show another side of the town: Sound Explosion takes place every summer in Tribano and includes live concerts and DJ sets. In addition, the 43rd Festa Provinciale dell’Asparago returns to Tribano and offers events throughout May.
Palaces, Park and Museum in the Surrounding Area
Several clearly distinguishable destinations are located around Tribano. Villa Duodo is a palace in the area around Tribano, as is Villa Nani Mocenigo. These different places complement the view of Tribano with palaces, a castle, a park and a museum.
The Wider Regional Area

The Giardino di Villa Barbarigo a Valsanzibio, a garden, is also located in this wider regional area. If you would like to combine your stay with an interest in landscapes and gardens, these places provide a regional complement to the buildings and events in Tribano.
